Rachel Rungdit (She/Her)

MS, LPC-Associate

Hi! I’m Rachel.

I like to approach therapy with the perspective that healing happens through connection – connection to ourselves, our relationships, and the parts of us that may have felt overlooked or unwelcome. Together, we’ll explore what’s most important to you. I’ll invite you to explore what feels messy or uncertain. My hope is that our time together can be a space where you find greater awareness and confidence in navigating this life. At Luminary Counseling, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate under the supervision of Jennifer Buffalo, LPC-S, LMFT.

I’m especially drawn to identity and relationship work. I love seeing clients reach a place where they feel more connected to who they are, more confident in their decisions, and more grounded in their relationships, work, and personal lives. Therapy isn’t about changing or ‘fixing’ who you are—it’s about learning how to be with yourself in a way that feels more whole and authentic.

I operate from a systemic and liberation-centered perspective, meaning I consider how larger social and cultural forces shape our experiences, including the influence of internalized and systemic forms of oppression. My goal is to create an accessible, culturally affirming space where you feel seen and supported.
My work is informed by Liberation Psychology, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Therapy, and Attachment Theories, but I’m not here for a one-size-fits-all approach. We’ll personalize our work to what fits you best.

Some of the areas I focus on include:
-Exploring identity – whether it’s related to sexuality, gender, career, culture, or religion
-Navigating relationships – including polyamory, ethical non-monogamy, and shifting dynamics in partnerships
-Supporting neurodivergent folks, including those with ADHD or those curious about their neurodiversity
-Managing stress and finding ways to move through life with more ease and self-compassion

At the core of my work is the belief that you don’t have to go through life feeling disconnected or unsure of yourself. You deserve to feel at home in who you are. If any of this resonates, I’d love to connect with you and see how we can work together.
