Linda A. Ramsey (She/Her)
MA, LPC, LMFT-S
EMDR Trained
Hello! I’m Linda and I’m a licensed professional counselor and a licensed marriage and family therapist. I am also an approved Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist supervisor. I believe being a psychotherapist is my life’s calling and I feel I am at home and at peace in the therapeutic space. I would appreciate the opportunity to welcome you into this safe space with me. I offer a complimentary 30-minute consultation aimed at helping us to co-determine whether or not working together is a good fit.
I believe we all have the capacity to feel safe, be happy, and create the life we want. However, there are times when the past and life situations get in the way and we get stuck. Together, you and I will identify what is keeping you stuck, and we will also identify ways for you to move forward. My approach is very person-centered and collaborative. Together, we can create a safe space for you to explore who you are.
Research indicates that the most important element and predictor of positive outcomes in therapy is the quality and strength of the therapeutic alliance. In short, the relationship between the client and the therapist is a very important one. Because of this, during our work together we will ensure that we are building the strongest relationship possible. Some folks may feel an immediate connection in therapy. However, often the relationship builds and strengthens over time. Every relationship has a slightly different rhythm. We will work together to find ours.
I am committed to creating an environment of safety in which you can feel empowered to explore and express all of your needs. People tell me that I am warm, compassionate, and very easy to talk with. I can also use humor when it’s appropriate in session (yes! We are allowed to laugh in therapy!) and welcome feedback 100% of the time!
If you’re interested in learning more, please reach out for a complimentary consultation with me, and let’s see if working together feels like a good fit.
I have advanced clinical training in both individual and relational models of psychotherapy. I focus on training in attachment, trauma, and interpersonal neurobiology. Below is a brief description of my training. Feel free to inquire further with any questions about my education or professional training.

Why Did you Become a Therapist?
I feel at home in the therapeutic space and helping others feel safe exploring who they are. It took me until I was in my fifties before I figured out what I wanted to be when I grew up, and now I don’t think I would be anything else (except own a big piece of land to garden and have room for my 4-footed friends and turtles to run around.)
